As Intermediate Accountant – Enterprise, you will have the opportunity to coach and develop less experienced team members. You will also have the support of your team, and the Firm partners.

Responsibilities
Let's Get Specific
- Completing all Compilation Engagement documents to be issued to the client, including working papers, financial statements, planning documents, notes and schedules.
- Completing compliance reviews of prepared corporate and personal tax returns.
- Compliance reviews of prepared income tax slips and filings, including T4’s and T5’s.
- Independently preparing tax plans and compliance-related reports
- Preparing client correspondence, including reports, discussion of technical issues and recommendations
- Support other team members by coaching and supporting their development with candid and respectful feedback
Experience, Education and Knowledge Requirements
- A university degree in accounting and working towards your CPA.
- You have worked through complete tax files in a public accounting firm setting and have demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Income Tax, and have a thorough understanding of GAAP/ASPE. This technical knowledge typically comes with 2-3 years of working experience in a public accounting setting.
- Proficient use of technology including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Word and Excel with the ability to create formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot table, data analytics etc., Taxprep, Caseware, QBO and other bookkeeping software
