Responsibilities
Let's Get Specific
Independently preparing working papers and financial statements for Review Engagements and Compilation Engagements.
Completing moderately complex Review Engagements with little to no guidance.
Independently preparing the more complex sections of an Audit Engagement, including AP/AR, confirmation of accounts receivable/payable and attendance at inventory counts.
Independently preparing level 1-4 corporate tax returns.
Identifying audit or accounting issues for discussion with the Senior Manager.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Skillset and Education
- Be a graduate of a University Accounting program or equivalent
- Be pursuing a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
- Have 1 year of experience in a Public Accounting Firm
- Have advanced comprehension of accounting principles, and application of (GAAP), IFRS, ASPE, ASNPO, Canadian Auditing Standards, and Canadian Income tax rule
- Have the ability to proficiently draft client documents from templates We believe in using technology to its fullest, so demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, with the ability to create advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, sum ifs, and data analytics and proficiency with Caseware, CaseView, Jazzit, Taxprep is needed.

- Bring an inquisitive mindset and pose credible solutions to issues
- Ensure that all queries and outstanding points have been cleared satisfactorily
- Critically review your work before submitting it to your Manager
